    The Lord is my Shepherd

Little did I know that when I posted the last blog, the truth of this wonderful Psalm would bring such peace and comfort and hope. On the 28th of July I got a call to say that my mum had taken ill at the dialysis unit in Antrim Hospital where she attended three times per week. Before any of us could get to the unit, mum had passed into glory.
The staff at the unit were just wonderful and I want to say thank you to them for their wonderful care.

It is amazing how our Father works all things together. All of us, from across the world had been home and spent time with mum over the two weeks before her death, something that hasn't happened for long time, and mum, who was tired of all the pain and sickness and trials would have wanted to pass peacefully in her sleep, which God graciously allowed. Mum is home.

The outpouring of love from our church family and friends has been overwhelming, thank you so much. The kindness of the folk of Dunboe can never be repaid and the pastoral care of our home minister Jim McCaughan, not just at this time but over all the years, has brought tremendous comfort, thank you.

Through the darkest valleys as well and the green pastures and still waters, the Lord is a Good Shepherd.

Goodness and mercy follows us all the days of our lives, and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

    Until that day Mum.
